A weeks worth of training in one hour.

Our proven methodology is centered on delivering a week’s worth of traditional team training into one hour of condensed, decision rich, context relevant training.

  • On average approximately 800 touches per hour vs 156 touches per hour club average.*

    • Averages compiled using Playmaker boot trackers across multiple age groups.

  • Decision rich: We avoid redundant, scripted training activities that reward compliance rather than creativity.

  • Context relevant: We avoid long lines, pattern oriented activities that kids hate and that don’t connect back to the real game.

A YEAR-ROUND DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT

Soccer Genome members receive consistent access to professional coaching and a training environment designed specifically around the development of the individual player.

Consistent Academy Training

Players train each week in an environment designed to develop technical ability, game intelligence, confidence, and creativity.

Focused Development Opportunities

Members can deepen their development through small-group MasterClasses and private one-to-one training.

Appropriate Placement and Progression

Players are placed according to their age, experience, and developmental needs, allowing them to be challenged as they grow.

PLAY. TRAIN. GROW.

Our methodology is built around three connected ideas.

PLAY

Players build a positive emotional connection to the game through freedom, competition, challenge, and joy.

TRAIN

Players develop in game-realistic environments that demand perception, decision-making, technique, and action.

GROW

Over time, players become more confident, intelligent, adaptable, and responsible for their own development.

Our goal is not simply to develop isolated skills. We aim to develop players who can perceive, decide, execute, and express themselves in the game.

ONE ACADEMY. THREE TRAINING ENVIRONMENTS.

The Soccer Genome development ecosystem combines three complementary training environments:

ACADEMY / MINIS (1:7 Player coach ratio)

Consistent group training provides the game context where players learn to solve problems, make decisions, and apply their skills.

MASTERCLASSES (1:4 player coach ratio)

Ball mastery and finishing small-group training classes designed to maximize the technical components of the game.

PRIVATE TRAINING (1:1 player coach ratio)

Individual 1 on 1 coaching centered on personalized feedback, technical refinement, and focused attention.

REAL PLAYERS. REAL GROWTH.

For fifteen years, Raleigh-area families have trusted Soccer Genome to help their players grow in confidence, ability, understanding, and love of the game.

Our players come from different clubs, backgrounds, experience levels, and stages of development. What connects them is a desire to improve within a challenging, game centered training environment.
